| During the month of October, 2005, Dynamic Health conducted a survey of patients who had been treated with CBT therapy for their food allergies. How the Study was Conducted During either a telephone or in-person interview, patients were asked whether or not CBT was effective in eliminating their allergic reaction to each specific food for which they had been treated. Among the 111 patients surveyed, a total of 198 allergies were treated (many patients having been treated for multiple allergies). Of the resulting 182 food allergy treatments, patients replied that 156 CBT treatments were effective, and 28 treatments were ineffective. According to the results of the study, CBT is 84.6% effective in eliminating allergic reactions to common foods (shown in the table to the right), with a statistical margin of error of 5.1% at a 90% confidence interval. |
